SUMMARY

Morning, running akonadi server on my gentoo laptop, stable versions

guilty on eating all the memory followed by chromium that consumes some
little percent but having a bunch of threads.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start plasma.
2. Work for ~3-4h.

OBSERVED RESULT

Top shows akonadiserver process takes a lot of memory.

I recently migrated my kabylake laptop to a ryzen one and still the
behaviour is reproducible, which reduces the chances to be platform
dependant. only way to reliably work is to forcefully stop akonadiserver
through akonadictl stop.
